Las Cuentistas

Las Cuentistas, The Storytellers, references a time in the 16th Century when my ancestors made their journey from Spain to this part of the world. Two sister forms (bronzes), on two separate continents, lean their backs towards one another to whisper their tales and secrets while a turbulent sea full of the bones of their ancestors roils and tosses. One sister wears a skirt with a star and cross pattern and a shell hat, while the other wears a skirt of domesticaed animals, roses, and bones.
