| Uprooted Tree II |
|||||||||||
| This piece is a continuation of an investigation into family history. The female form rises from an uprooted tree, an uprooted family tree whose branches are exposed and reaching to the sky turned upside down. Two trees grow over and support one another each trying to overcome the other growth, while together they support the main fgure. The tree's roots are exposed and reaching upwards over the figure and become entertwined to form DNA strands. Gold butterfly decals are playing in the blue tree, symbolizing transformation and change. | |||||||||||
