| This Frida chair is the first in the artist chair series I began this year. This series of chairs are made to acknowledge the influences of certain artists. Each chair tells the story of an artist with whom I share visual and or conceptual influences. Frida's chair shows imagery which when put together describes events in her life that influenced her opwn workf, including the unborn child, her interest in Socialism (hammer and sycle), the bus accident, her time in New York, the back brace, a cacti landscape, a heart and strands of hair. | |||||||||||
